Experimental or innovative hairstyles that are very out of the box, artistic, unique, and fresh.

Texture Award
This category is all about looks that embrace and work with natural hair texture.

Creative Braiding Award
This category is for any braided hairstyle but is not limited to box braids, cornrows, fishtails, faux locs, woven hairstyles, feed-in braids, crown braids, etc.

Soft, Styled & Chopped Award
This category is a combination of a soft hairstyle of any kind, haircutting, and hairstyling in one look.

Natural Makeup Award

This award embraces the beauty you were born with while spotlighting the art of expertly applying makeup that lets your true beauty shine through.

Glam Makeup Award

This is not a subtle or natural look. Glam is all about drama. Glam looks almost always include lashes and extensive eye and contour work.

Innovative Locs Award
This category is for styles with any sister locs, micro-locs, traditional locs, free-form locs, wicks.

Fantastic Fade Award
This category combines haircutting and hairstyling using clippers in one look to create a faded haircut.

Creative Color Award
Any hair color with two or more tones/hues is used to create a multi-tonal color.

Weave Designer Award
This can include hair extensions, hair weaves, a wig creation, or a pre-made wig that is being styled.

Avant-Garde Makeup Award
Experimental Makeup Looks, they may be more creative, very out of the box, artistic, unique and fresh.

Editorial Beauty Photo
Professional photography, that relates to all things beauty, can be found in a fashion editorial magazine.
